     The Nashville Network's "Inside Winston Cup Racing" will
expand to one hour beginning January 6, with a new look and new
title -- "Inside NASCAR" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 12/10). ....After a
"gushy" piece and cover story on Fox's "Party of Five" in the
News Corp. owned-TV Guide, execs at competing networks are
responding.  NBC West Coast Division President Don Ohlmeyer wrote
to TV Guide Editor-in-Chief Steven Reddicliff with a "veiled
threat" that NBC would stop advertising (N.Y. TIMES,
12/11)....One of the leading internet 4th quarter advertisers
includes Sportsline with $218,000 dollars spent.  Top ad revenues
include ESPNET's SportsZone with $600,000 (SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS,
12/11).
