OTHER NFL NEWS: TAGLIABUE LASHES OUT AT HOUSTON SUIT

     NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue called a lawsuit filed
against the league by Astros Owner Drayton McLane a "sick example
of demagoguery," according to this morning's HOUSTON CHRONICLE.
McLane's suit claims the league conspired with the Oilers to
cancel a preseason game at the Astrodome.  McLane, whose
Astrodome USA controls dome operations, could seek up to $2M in
damages (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 11/30).
     SULLIVAN SUIT:  Former Patriots Owner Billy Sullivan found
himself "accused of lying" when he assumed the witness stand on
Tuesday in his antitrust suit against the league.  Sullivan is
suing the league for blocking his attempt to sell shares in the
team.  He claims that forced him to sell the team at a depressed
price.  Under "withering questioning" from NFL attorney Frank
Rothman, Sullivan was questioned on "notes" he was consulting to
back up his own memory.  The dispute "could pose a major setback
to Sullivan's case" (David Halbfinger, BOSTON GLOBE, 11/30).
