OLYMPIC NOTES: ACOG AND UNICEF TEAM UP FOR OLYMPIC AID

     ACOG and UNICEF have announced the launch of Olympic Aid-
Atlanta, a special initiative designed to raise funds that will
help alleviate the plight of millions of war-affected children on
the occasion of the '96 Games.  The IOC and U.N. have called for
an Olympic Truce during the period of the '96 Games, to which
Olympic Aid-Atlanta will respond by raising special funds for
children caught in armed conflict (ACOG)....The USOC has
announced there will be a groundbreaking on December 4 for Phase
II facilities at the U.S. Olympic Complex at Colorado Springs
(USOC)....The first World Broadcaster Meeting was held in Nagano
October 26-29 to decide how the '98 Games would be covered.  90
people from 24 countries attended, including representatives from
CBS and CBC (Nagano Olympic News)....MCA Records/Nashville and
ACOG announced that "One Voice," will be the first in a line of
albums to help support ACOG and USOC programs.  The album will be
released in March (ACOG).
