CANSTAR TO RESTRUCTURE BRANDS UNDER THE BAUER NAME

     Canstar Sports Inc. will consolidate all of the company's
current brands under the Bauer brand name in a two-phase plan
beginning in January.  The Nike-owned Canstar calls the
restructuring "an effort to channel the marketing, advertising
and merchandising efforts" in order to "strengthen" Bauer's
position in the global marketplace.  Under the first phase
starting in January, Canstar's skate brands -- Lange, Daouse,
Micron and Mega -- will be remerchandised under the Bauer brand.
A year from January, Canstar will consolidate the protective
brands Cooper and Flak.  Canstar President Pierre Boivin:  "We
want Bauer to be the dominant brand in the sport of hockey"
(Canstar).
