CITY OF IRVING LOOKS TO JERRY JONES FOR SOME REVENUE SHARING

NFL owners aren't the only interested parties in Jerry
Jones' deals with Nike and Pepsi. The the city of Irving --home
of Texas Stadium -- "may be getting a piece of the Pepsi and Nike
pie," according to this morning's FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM.
Carlos Illescas reports that Irving Mayor Morris Parrish met with
Jones last week to discuss the city's desire for a cut of the
money Pepsi, Nike, and others are paying Jones from recent deals.
Under Jones' Texas Stadium Corp. contract, Irving is to receive
8% of sales revenue from the stadium. Illescas also notes Irving
wants Jones to pay "about" $1.8M for the last two years of
revenue from skybox sales (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 11/9).
