EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

     The Orioles are expected to hire former Tigers GM JOE KLEIN
for their vacant GM position.  Klein was fired by the Tigers on
Friday (Baltimore SUN, 10/28)....ROLAND HEMOND, who resigned as
O's GM last week, has taken a position with the Diamondbacks as
Senior Exec VP/Baseball Ops (Baltimore SUN, 10/28)....The
Grizzlies have named STU JACKSON as President and GM of the club.
Jackson has been VP/Basketball Ops and GM, but the new title is
"meant to better reflect the scope of the role he has played in
launching the franchise" (Grizzlies)....ELIZABETH GARGER has been
named President of Special Event Management, a division of J.
Brown/LMC Group.  Garger comes from ISL Marketing USA, where she
was Senior VP & GM (J. Brown/LMC).
