NHL fans will have an opportunity to see their favorite NHL
players compete and demonstrate their talents in the Topps NHL
SuperSkills Competition presented by Starter. The events, a
joint venture between the NHL and the NHLPA, run from October 9
to January 7. The competition is "a family, fun event that is
scheduled during no-game days." Ticket prices will vary across
NHL cities from $3-10 and many tickets will be donated to youth
hockey organizations. This year marks the first season of Topps'
title sponsorship of the skill program. Additional sponsors
include Starter, a presenting sponsor, and Mennen. The NHL,
league teams and the NHLPA will plan activities to support
SuperSkills locally and in-arena, including fan festivals, retail
and media promotions and ticket giveaways (NHLPA).
