Expos GM KEVIN MALONE told ChristianWeek magazine he believes
baseball is "controlled by Satan."  Malone: "It was a gift from
God.  Baseball was special.  Maybe God even enjoyed baseball in
its early days.  But the game has changed.  Now it's about power,
money and greed.  Today, the game is controlled by Satan" (GLOBE
& MAIL, 9/27)....Agent TOM REICH predicts:  "There absolutely
will be revenue sharing [in MLB] and it will kick in before next
year, definitely" (GLOBE & MAIL, 9/27)....Administrative
expenditures for WARREN MOON's Crescent Moon Foundation have far
outstripped the amount it has given to charity.  The FBI reviewed
the group's books three weeks ago but failed to find any
illegalities (Minneapolis STAR-TRIBUNE, 9/27).... LPGA Tour
member RENEE POWELL is profiled in this morning's USA TODAY for
her work in conducting clinics for African American children (USA
TODAY, 9/27)....During his monologue last night, JAY LENO went to
the soundstage for "Kazaam," and went one-on-one with SHAQUILLE
O'NEAL ("Tonight Show," NBC, 9/26)....For his birthday, PRESIDENT
CLINTON received one of the first of Callaway Golf's new 11-woods
from the First Lady.  Sources report Hillary "approached Eli
Callaway and asked for something that hadn't gone to market"
