PONSOR PROFILES: JOHN HANCOCK PROVIDES COVERAGE

John Hancock Financial Services is not new to Olympic
involvement.  The company was an IOC contributor for the '94
Games in Lillehammer, and is serving as the official patron of
the IOC museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.  For Atlanta, John
Hancock will again participate in IOC's world marketing program,
TOP.  John Hancock Senior Exec VP David D'Alessandro:  "The
Olympic Marketing Programs help strengthen client relationships
and give an edge in new client prospecting."  John Hancock is the
ninth largest U.S. insurer with operations in 45 countries on six
continents.

     IN-KIND        John Hancock signed an agreement in July of
     SERVICES:'93 to become the official life insurance sponsor
for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games and the U.S. Olympic team.
John Hancock will participate in the insurance category with
other sponsors from the areas of health, property and casualty.
     ON SITE        Rebecca Collet noted John Hancock's presence
     PRESENCE:in Atlanta will largely be in a "hospitality"
capacity.  She noted the company "hasn't decided" about
billboards and signage.
     OTHER          John Hancock has introduced a U.S. Olympic
     ACTIVITIES:Athletes' speaker's bureau to provide sales
agents with select famous Olympians to make appearances and
motivational speeches at John Hancock events nationwide.
USE OF RINGS:John Hancock will use the rings on stationary and
promotional materials.  John Hancock VP Corporate Communications
Kathleen Driscoll: "The credibility of the Olympic five rings,
combined with the John Hancock logo, gives us a distinct
advantage over our competitors.  It demonstrates not only our
leadership in the industry, but also our dedication to the
standard of excellence exemplified by the Olympic Games."
NEW PROGRAMS:"Keeping the Dream Alive" is a John Hancock program
designed for Olympic Athletes to conduct sports clinics for
school-aged children around the United States with proceeds going
to the U.S. Olympic Team.
TV AD TIME:Collet noted "We'll be on TV," but declined to reveal
specifics.
TOTAL BUDGET:The company declined to reveal this figure.
