THE SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY'S BLACKOUT MONITOR

     The following NFL games failed to sellout for this weekend
and will be blacked out in their home markets:
     GAME                         LOCAL TIME         NETWORK
     Washington at Tampa Bay (1)     1:00              Fox
     New York Jets at Atlanta (2)    4:00              NBC
     Kansas City at Cleveland (2)    4:00              NBC
     Houston at Cincinnati (2)       4:00              NBC
     San Francisco at Detroit (2)    9:00              ABC
     NOTE:  Detroit still had around 10,000 tickets remaining as
of 5pm yesterday.  The NFL's blackout rule goes into effect 72
hours prior to kickoff, so the Lions Monday night game cannot be
officially blacked out until tonight at 9:00pm EDT.  The number
in parentheses indicates the number of blackouts each home team
has had this season (THE DAILY).  The Bills are suing several
bars in the Buffalo area for violating last week's blackout
(WASHINGTON POST, 9/22).
