MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

     Burger King has been sued by a man who claims their college
football fan poll was his idea.  Adam Elegant filed papers in a
FL Circuit Court yesterday, claiming he conceived the idea while
a senior in college (MIAMI HERALD, 9/22)....The Canadian Supreme
Court struck down a national ban on tobacco advertising on the
grounds that it violated the companies freedom of expression.
The vote was 5-4, and was "rare victory for a beleaguered
industry whose U.S. activities have drawn fire" (L.A. TIMES,
9/22)....The Celtics announced an association with the Boston
Pops, with music by the Pops Orchestra featured in the Celtics
game presentation in the new Fleet Center.  Academy Award winning
composer and Laureate Conductor of the Boston Pops, John Williams
will write a Celtics theme which will be used in the future for
game introductions (Celtics)....SkyDome and NTN Canada will bring
QB1, NTN's live interactive football game, to fans at SkyDome.
At every CFL Argonaut football game this fall, fans will be able
to play QB1, where fans try to guess plays and formations (NTN
Canada)....Deion Sanders was announced as the spokesperson for
Wheaties' new Honey Frosted version.  He appears on the box in
his new Cowboys uniform (SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 9/22).
