WOULD YOU BUY A PRODUCT FROM THIS MAN? ADVERTISERS WILL SEE

Mike Tyson's fight to "re-establish his credibility with
advertisers" for his November 4th fight on Fox is examined by
Dottie Enrico of USA TODAY. Fox has been conducting talks with
"key advertisers to gauge interest in the event." Anheuser-Busch
is reportedly interested and "a few automakers are thinking of
signing on." Fox's early asking price is around $200,000 for a
30-second spot. This is also one of the first opportunities
companies have "had to link products with Tyson" since he was
released from prison. Marketing Consultant Marty Blackman said
he has a "hard time believing many companies would sign him.
Sponsoring his fight is another matter" (USA TODAY, 9/20).
WRAP YOUR PRODUCT IN HIS COCOON OF HORROR: Peter McNeeley
holds a press conference tomorrow to announce his new career as
company spokesperson (N.Y. POST, 9/20). McNeeley debuted as one
of several celebrities in new TV ads for America Online (America
Online).
