ABC AND U.S. FIGURE SKATING TO INTRODUCE PRODUCT LINE

     ABC Sports and the U.S. Figure Skating Association will
introduce a series of licensed products featuring the ABC Sports
and USFSA logos to be available in early '96 through direct mail
and retail.  Licensing will be handled by Brian Hakan of Kansas
City.  As part of the deal, ABC gets marketing and promo
opportunities, logo rights, tickets, hospitality and event
signage (BRANDWEEK, 9/18 issue).
     MORE FROM BRANDWEEK:  NFL Properties is seeking a licensee
to manufacture and market "official NFL workout wear."  The
league hopes to award the license before the end of '95 with
"incumbent Pro Line licensees like Starter and Russell getting
first crack."  One licensing source said before awarding the
contract, NFLP is "asking for a lot of detail upfront on
marketing plans."  The line is expected by the end of fall of
'96. ... PepsiCo has renewed their title sponsorship of Pepsi
All-Star Softball Game, scheduled for January 7 in Palm Springs,
CA.  The game will be televised by NBC and handled by Millsport
(BRANDWEEK, 9/18 issue).
