SIR CHARLES HAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS PICTURE

     Charles Barkley is suing Nikon and advertising firm Fallon
McElligott, Inc. for using a photo of him in an ad for Nikon
products without his permission, according to Nikhil Deogun of
the WALL STREET JOURNAL.  The ad shows "a grimacing Mr. Barkley
with his head thrown back during a game," and was originally
published in the NBA's Hoop magazine.  Barkley is seeking $4M in
damages and a court order barring the use of his likeness in the
ad.  The suit also names Hoop's New York publisher, Professional
Sports Publications, as a defendant (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 8/23).
