POST TYSON-MCNEELEY: ATTENTION TURNS TO NOVEMBER 4 DUEL

While Don King had said that Buster Mathis would be Mike
Tyson's second post-comeback opponent, Saturday night's 83-second
mismatch may cause Tyson's camp to move to get a stronger match-
up, especially with Holyfield-Bowe scheduled for the same night -
- November 4. Mentioned: WBA Champ Bruce Seldon. SET's Mac
Lipscomb says discussions are "continuing" with TVKO (Rudy
Martzke, USA TODAY, 8/21). In L.A., Allan Malamud reports that
George Foreman was told that Tyson is trying to convince Don King
to stage a rematch of former heavyweight champs. Foreman has
told his promoter, Bob Arum, to negotiate (L.A. TIMES, 8/21). In
Boston, Ron Borges writes of the Nov. 4 dispute: "They're closer
to a settlement in Bosnia" (BOSTON GLOBE, 8/20). In Washington,
Michael Wilbon writes, "Whatever happens, the snap, crackle and
pop appear to be back in the heavyweight division, and Tyson's
the reason" (WASHINGTON POST, 8/21).
