NAMES IN THE NEWS

     MIKE TYSON, who returns to the ring Saturday night, is
interviewed in this week's issue of NEWSWEEK.  Tyson describes
himself as "just a brother trying to survive under difficult
circumstances" (NEWSWEEK, 8/21 issue)....MONICA SELES was on the
"Late Show" Friday.  Seles, on playing Martina:  "I told Martina
she should stop playing team tennis, she should go back to real
tennis ... because she is playing so well" (CBS, 8/11)....On
ESPN's "In the Sportslight," Robin Roberts interviewed RUSH
LIMBAUGH and SPIKE LEE.  Limbaugh said he "fantasizes" about
owning an NFL team.  Lee agreed that the "fan is being left out"
by rising ticket prices (ESPN, 8/12).... ABC's "Person of the
Week" was Olympic athlete MARLA RUNYAN.  Runyan is blind and runs
the hurdles and the high jump (ABC, 8/11)....IOC Chair JUAN
ANTONIO SAMARANCH said he feels that Beijing will not bid for the
2004 Summer Olympic Games (KYODO NEWS, 8/12).
