POLL IN CINCY FINDS INTERESTING NAMES TO PROPOSED STADIUMS

In Cincinnati, 418 people responded to a CINCINNATI ENQUIRER
survey asking fans to name the proposed baseball and football
stadiums. ESPN's Dan Patrick: "'Dumb and Dumber' was a
favorite, so were 'ChiChing Stadium' and 'Taxes Maximus.' The
top two vote getters were 'Paul Brown Stadium,' named after the
Bengals founder, and 'Rose Garden' or 'Rose Park,' named after
Pete Rose. One reader based his suggestion on the Bengals'
losing ways and submitted 'Possum Den.' His reasoning, they play
dead at home and get killed on the road" ("SportsCenter," ESPN,
8/8). Others include "Field of Schemes" for the Reds and
"Wherewegoonna Park" for the Bengals (SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE,
8/9).
