MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

     Golf apparel company Cutter and Buck plans to go public with
an offering of more than 1.5M shares, according to GOLFWEEK
EXTRA.  Shares "will likely debut" in the $7-9 range in mid-
August (GOLFWEEK EXTRA)....Anheuser-Busch have announced they
will spin off their bread and baking division to focus on the
beer and entertainment divisions.  The announcement "softened the
impact" of another quarter of "disappointing" earnings.  A-B's
profits rose 2% to $1.27 a share, but fell short of the average
estimate of $1.31 a share (N.Y. TIMES, 7/27)....Denny's
restaurant is bringing back their MLB hologram cards on July 31
for the fifth season.  The designs feature Upper Deck's Holoview,
a 3-D portrait of each player, alongside a full action shot.
Tony Gwynn will be featured in national ads for the baseball
promo (Denny's)....Rumors of a possible sale of Lynx Golf Co. by
corporate parent Zurn Industries "surprised Lynx executives,"
according to GOLFWEEK.  Lynx is the only leisure business in
Zurn's corporate structure.  "New business" has increased 240% at
Lynx since December of '94 when the popular Black Cat irons were
introduced.  A Zurn spokesperson would not name any potential
suitors for Lynx, but officials at American Brands has expressed
interest in "an affordable golf company" (GOLFWEEK, 7/22 issue).
