     JACK KENT COOKE re-married his ex-wife Marlene Ramallo
Saturday at his estate near Middleburg, VA (WASHINGTON POST,
7/16)....Padres Owner JOHN MOORES was profiled in the HOUSTON
CHRONICLE.  Moores, in Houston to receive an award for his
contributions to UH, said owning a MLB franchise is exactly what
he thought it would be (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 7/16)....Devils Owner
JOHN McMULLEN participated in the "CEO Forum" in Annapolis, MD.
At a forum on immigration, McMullen noted that dry cleaners in
urban areas "are all run by Koreans," while "thousands of
unemployed blacks" live nearby.  McMullen said society must
convince "the unemployed blacks to do these things" (WASHINGTON
POST, 7/15).
