SCHULTZ NAMED HEAD OF U.S. OLYMPIC COMMITTEE

     Former NCAA Exec Dir Dick Schultz was the unanimous choice
of the USOC to become the USOC's new Exec Dir.  Schultz has been
a sports consultant since resigning as the head of the NCAA in
'93, and had served on the USOC's Executive Committee until last
year.  Schultz beat out former U.S. Skiing Exec Dir Mike Jacki
and former CBA Commissioner/Nike Sports Management head Terdema
Ussery, among others.  John Krimsky, who served as the USOC's
Interim Director since Harvey Schiller resigned in October to
take over Turner Sports, will remain as the USOC's Managing
Director of Business Affairs.  Schultz plans on starting in
