BENGALS' BROWN QUIETLY VISITS BALTIMORE

Bengals President Mike Brown visited Baltimore yesterday and
said he was "very serious" about moving his team from Cincinnati,
writes Jon Morgan in this morning's BALTIMORE SUN. However,
Morgan reports that "local officials came away wary that Brown is
more intent on striking a deal at home." Brown met with local
officials and attended an Orioles game in the Maryland Stadium
Authority's suite at Camden Yards. MSA Chair John Moag: "We
have a shot, but we've had shots before. ... Nobody ought to get
excited about this." Baltimore Mayor Kurt Schmoke, who dropped
by the suite to visit with Brown: "This thing is a long way from
getting resolved. You have to remember that the NFL hierarchy
isn't eager to put a team in this market" (Baltimore SUN, 6/9).
