     JASON KIDD was on the "Tonight Show" last night.  Kidd,
asked whether co-winning the Rookie of the Year award means more
money and endorsements:  "I have to call Grant.  He gets all the
endorsements first, and then he gives me all the leftovers" (NBC,
5/29)....Collins Publishers will publish "I'm Back: More Rare
Air," a sequel to the "Rare Air" book on MICHAEL JORDAN by MARK
VANCIL.  The sequel will explain Jordan's reasons for leaving
basketball and his baseball experiences and have 120 pages of
color photos (Terry Armour, CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 5/30). ....Tom
Kensler reports in Saturday's DENVER POST that "insiders" believe
former NCAA Exec Dir DICK SCHULTZ is the leading choice to be the
next USOC Exec Dir (DENVER POST, 5/27)....U.S. Soccer "still is
considering the possibility" of naming former Brazil coach CARLOS
ALBERTO PARREIRA as national team coach and player and coach
development director (FLORIDA TODAY, 5/30)....GREG LOUGANIS has
singed with IMG Speakers for exclusive lecture representation
(IMG)....JOHN MCENROE was interviewed on the "Today Show."
McEnroe said his greatest disappointment was losing the 1984
French Open Final to IVAN LENDL (NBC, 5/30).
