CHARLOTTE LPGA EVENT GETS NEW TITLE SPONSOR

     Raycom Inc. and DWA Golf announced that national textile
company Fieldcrest Cannon Inc. will be the title sponsor for the
upcoming LPGA tournament in Charlotte.  The Fieldcrest Cannon
Classic is the first-ever LPGA Tour event in Charlotte and is
scheduled for September 28-October 1.  Fieldcrest Cannon signed a
3-year deal but financial terms were not disclosed.  The company
plans a series of events during tournament week that will
celebrate the significant relationship between women's fashion
and sports throughout the 20th century (Raycom).  Raycom recently
gained the rights to sell title sponsorship for the Fiesta Bowl.
