     In new court documents filed in BRUCE McNALL's personal
bankruptcy case, it was revealed that five weeks before the Kings
played in the '93 Stanley Cup finals, the team had to borrow
$2.8M in order to pay player salaries.  In addition, the Kings
took some of the millions of dollars in fans' advance playoff
ticket money this past spring to partially meet the team's
payroll (L.A. TIMES, 10/7)....South FL sports magnate WAYNE
HUIZENGA is considering an investment in former Dolphins
linebacker JOHN OFFERDAHL's chain of bagel shops.  Offerdahl's
"Bagel Gourmet" has grown to a chain of six bagel stores over the
last four years (MIAMI HERALD, 10/7)....MLS officials are hoping
that Chiefs owner LAMAR HUNT decides to help secure a franchise
for Kansas City (K.C. STAR, 10/6).  Eagles cornerback ERIC ALLEN
said that he, as well as several other Eagles players, would
support Jets safety RONNIE LOTT to replace NFLPA Exec Dir GENE
UPSHAW when the union leader's contract expires in 1996 (NEWSDAY,
10/6)....Agent DREW ROSENHAUS, 27, "is gaining unprecedented
power in South Florida, collecting clients the way kids collect
his clients' cards" (MIAMI HERALD, 10/6).
