The Victorian government is in negotiations with Tennis Australia to "help it cover the cost of pushing back the Australian Open and quarantining international players" (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 12/4).

The budget for the '24 Paris Games is "set to increase" by €96M ($117M) to €3.903B ($4.739B), according to sources. (L'EQUIPE, 12/4). 

The first One-Day International between South Africa and England that was scheduled for Friday has been moved to Sunday after a player from the home team tested positive for COVID-19 (REUTERS, 12/4).

Next season’s Chinese Super League will "take on a new look" after the 16 teams were told to "drop the corporate part of their names" (SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST, 12/3).

The French Ligue de Football Professionnel and broadcast partner Mediapro "have not come to an agreement" regarding the TV rights to Ligue 1, but the sides, currently in mediation, were given "several extra days to find a solution," according to sources (L'EQUIPE, 12/4).

National Rugby League side New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George said the government "declined the club's request to have their Australian-based players train in managed isolation in New Zealand" (STUFF, 12/4).
