NHL Heads Across The Pond

The NHL Global Fan Tour, a touring tribute to the league and its European connections, will embark on a road trip through 10 cities in Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic from Aug. 25 through Oct. 3. The tour, which features an innovative museum, is in its second year. It will be free and open to the public as a complement to the '19 NHL Global Series.

The third NHL/NHLPA European Player Media Tour is taking place Thursday in Stockholm, Sweden, at MTG’s Viasat headquarters. Twenty-three European-born players are gathering for interviews with int'l rights-holders and news outlets, including Viasat (Sweden, Finland, Norway), Sportsnet, NBC Sports, DAZN, Setanta, Teleclub and TV Nova Sport. Several players including Capitals F Nicklas Backstrom will attend. In addition, Tampa Bay Lightning defender Victor Hedman and Chicago Blackhawks F David Kampf will conduct interviews ahead of this season's NHL Global Series and Global Series Challenge, which is promoted by Live Nation (NHL).
