More details are coming out around Uber Eats' naming-rights deal with France's Ligue 1, as the food delivery company will reportedly pay $17M per year for its agreement with the soccer league. The two-year deal is “close to double” the amount paid by former title sponsor Conforama and is the “most lucrative” naming deal in European soccer. French Professional Football League (LFP) Exec Dir Didier Quillot said, "Uber Eats meets all the criteria we set for ourselves. It is a global, dynamic, modern brand." As part of the partnership, the official match balls in Ligue 1 will be delivered by an Uber Eats driver (L’ÉQUIPE, 6/13).

Meanwhile, Uber Eats is reportedly "interested in becoming the jersey sponsor" of Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille. OM currently does not have a front-of-shirt sponsor. An OM spokesperson said that "nothing has been signed yet" between Uber Eats and the club (L’ÉQUIPE, 6/14).
