iRacing Series To Crown Champion With Record Payout

The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series holds its title race tonight at 9:00pm ET, with coverage on eNASCAR.com/live. Mirroring the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, the esports competition is down to its own Championship 4. When NASCAR was halted in March due to the pandemic, "sim racing was put front and center" with the Pro Invitational Series. Since then, the "iRacing Series and its full-time drivers have reaped the rewards." Viewership is "up exponentially," and tonight's champion "will earn $100,000 of the $300k prize pool, the largest single prize payout in series history" (247SPORTS.com, 11/1).
