Boise State AD Curt Apsey To Step Down, Stay With School

Boise State AD Curt Apsey is "stepping down from his current role and moving into a university level fundraising position." Senior Associate AD Bob Carney will step in as interim AD "until a permanent hire is made." A national search "will begin immediately." Apsey, an SBA nominee for AD of the Year in '20, joined Boise State in '98 as Senior Associate AD. Like other college sports programs, Boise State is "still dealing with a budgetary shortfall." It cut its baseball and swimming teams in July, and in September announced a "second round of furloughs and salary reductions among its athletic staff" (IDAHO STATESMAN, 10/21).
