Mississippi State-LSU Viewers Up; Most In CFB Season-To-Date

CBS’ coverage of Saturday's Mississippi State-LSU football game at 3:30pm ET averaged 4.442 million viewers, a 23% increase in viewership compared to last year’s comparable Saturday showcase game (3.607 million viewers for Alabama-Ole Miss on Sept. 28, 2019). MSU-LSU also was the most-watched college football game of the season on any network to date. This was the broadcast network's first college football game telecast of this season; last year's SEC on CBS debut came on Sept. 14 with Alabama-South Carolina, which averaged 4.953 million viewers.

The game peaked with 6.066 million viewers from 7:15-7:30pm, as MSU sealed the upset win late. Live streaming coverage on CBS All Access delivered double-digit year-over-year growth in unique devices, streams and watch time (THE DAILY).
