HBSE Reverses Course On Pay Cuts To Full-Time Employees

Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, which owns the 76ers and Devils, has "reversed course on a controversial decision to cut employees' pay." HBSE this afternoon announced it will be "paying these employees their full salaries." HBSE co-Managing Partner Josh Harris said in a statement, "I apologize for getting this wrong." The company yesterday had notified salaried, full-time employees that they would be "subject to temporary pay cuts of up to 20% and will be moving to a four-day work week." Harris in today's statement said, "After listening to our staff and players, it's clear that was the wrong decision" (ESPN.com, 3/24).
