St. Louis MLS Group Wants To Unveil Team Name By Summer

Carolyn Kindle Betz, who leads the majority-female St. Louis MLS ownership group, said the team is hoping to announce its name before this summer. The St. Louis side will begin play in '22. At today's MLS Media Day, Kindle Betz noted the group previously opened up its website for fans to submit team names. More than 6,000 names were entered, with Kindle Betz adding, “There were about four or five that rose to the top.” She said the team is currently working with MLS to see what could potentially work.
