Eintracht Frankfurt Opens N.Y. Office To Build U.S. Presence

Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt opened an office in Manhattan on Friday. The office is near Times Square in the same building as the N.Y. office of job site Indeed, the club's shirt sponsor since ’17. Eintracht Frankfurt CEO Axel Hellmann said that Indeed will provide infrastructure and assistance, but that the office will be staffed by full-time club employees focused on the U.S., Mexico and Canada. He said that the goal is to build out a dedicated staff of three or four within the next 18 months, and that the club’s strategy for North America will be youth academy-focused. The opening of the N.Y. office follows the official launch of the club’s Asian HQ in Beijing in April '19.

Hellmann cited the mutual success of the partnership with Indeed -- whose recognition in Germany has increased by 29% since '17 -- as a major factor in the decision to launch a North American office. “It’s been a big step forward for the Indeed business,” he said of the impact the shirt deal has had on the company’s growth in Germany. “Of course they see that in the numbers. They’re even better than the competitors, StepStone and Monster, in the German market. They boomed like hell in Germany.”
