NFL Wild Card Round Sees Best Viewership Since ’16

The NFL Wild Card round averaged 30.5 million viewers over the weekend (four games), marking the best Wild Card weekend since ’16 (32.6 million). This year’s figure is up 7% from 28.6 million viewers last year. NBC in the late window yesterday averaged 35.8 million viewers (total audience delivery) for Seahawks-Eagles, down slightly from 35.9 million last year for Eagles-Bears in the same time slot. The 35.8 million is up from 31.1 million for the late Sunday window two years ago (Saints-Panthers on Fox). It also is the best audience for any TV show since last year’s Super Bowl. Meanwhile, Fox yesterday in the early window drew 29.9 million viewers for Vikings-Saints, up big from 25.4 million for Chargers-Ravens in the same Wild Card time slot on CBS last year.
