Boise State-FSU Moved To Tallahassee Amid Storm Threat
FSU's football season-opener against Boise State has been "moved from TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville to Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee" amid the threat of Hurricane Dorian. It will now be played at noon ET Saturday instead of its original 7:00pm kickoff time. Buzz that the game "could be moved to Tallahassee heightened" today when "images of FSU painting numbers on the field at Doak Campbell Stadium surfaced on social media." Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis yesterday "declared a state of emergency" for much of the East Coast of the state, including Jacksonville (TALLAHASSEE DEMOCRAT, 8/29).
The game now "will be broadcast on ESPNews," whereas it was originally set to air on ESPN (IDAHO STATESMAN, 8/29). Fans "can buy $10 general admission tickets online or $15 general admission tickets at Doak" (TWITTER.com, 8/29).
