Bay Area Authorities Pursuing Battery Charge Against Ujiri

The Alameda County (Calif.) Sheriff's Office is "pursuing a charge of battery" against Raptors President of Basketball Operations Masai Ujiri, who "allegedly pushed and hit a sheriff's deputy in the face" at Oracle Arena after NBA Finals Game 6. Sheriff's Office spokesperson Ray Kelly said that Ujiri was denied access to the court "because he didn't have a proper credential." Kelly: "That's when he tried to push past our deputy." Sheriff's deputies "took witness statements and obtained video of the incident" (SFCHRONICLE.com, 6/14).

Meanwhile, the Wizards reportedly have "no imminent plans to reach out" to the Raptors to speak with Ujiri, "which means there is no massive offer being prepared" (TWITTER.com, 6/14).
