GGG Close To Landing At MSG For Next Fight, Sources Say

Boxer Gennady Golovkin's return to the ring is "close to being finalized with the fight ticketed" for June 8 at MSG, according to sources. Offers "have been made to potential opponents," including Steve Rolls and Hassan N'Dam. June 8 is the "likely date, in part so the fight will not compete" with a June 15 Tyson Fury-Tom Schwarz heavyweight bout in Las Vegas. MSG is already scheduled to host heavyweight Anthony Joshua's U.S. debut against Jarrell Miller on June 1 (ESPN.com, 4/8).
