New Meek Mill Song Name-Drops Robert Kraft, Michael Rubin

It is not every day that sports team owners get name checked in a rap song. But Meek Mill references Patriots Owner Robert Kraft and 76ers co-Owner Michael Rubin in a song from the album “Championships” that was released Friday at midnight. The song “What’s Free,” featuring Jay-Z and Rick Ross, has the line, “Maybe it’s the Michael Rubin’s or the Robert Kraft’s or the billionaire from Marcy, in a way they got my back.” Rubin and Kraft were vocal supporters of the rapper when he was in prison for five months because of probation violations late last year and early this year. He was released in April.
