Fox Sports' New Deal With NYRA Expands Horse Racing Coverage

NYRA and Fox Sports today announced a new multiyear agreement that will expand coverage of horse racing from Belmont Park and Saratoga from about 100 hours a year to 500 hours next year and 600 hours in '20. Financial terms were not disclosed. NYRA races will be broadcast nationally on FS2 as part of the deal. NBC will continue to air the Belmont Stakes as well as several other major races owned by NYRA. NYRA began its relationship with Fox Sports in '16 with the launch of its daily live show “Saratoga Live” with 80 hours of coverage. The coverage has expanded in each year to about 100 hours in '18, including races from Belmont Park and Aqueduct Racetrack.

Produced by NYRA, the shows will be hosted by Greg Wolf with handicapping and commentary from handicapper Andy Serling, paddock reporter Maggie Wolfendale, trainer Tom Amoss and former MLBer and horseplayer Paul LoDuca. Larry Collmus, NYRA announcer and voice of the Triple Crown, will provide the race calls.
