Jets Partner With Marvel On Hulk Bobblehead Promotion

marvel

The Jets today formally announced a "wide-ranging partnership" with Marvel Entertainment. As part of the deal, the "first 15,000 fans who go through the MetLife Stadium gates on Oct. 21" for a game against the Vikings "will receive a bobblehead of Hulk standing on a Jets-logoed football field." Toyota is the "presenting sponsor of the entire promotion, dubbed 'Green Out,' and its logo will be on the bobbblehead." Marvel will "work with stadium officials to set the green theme throughout the day, from lighting, to the video board and music." A Hulk character "will be in attendance and Thor will represent the visiting Vikings." This is the "first such deal for Marvel in the NFL" (SPORTS BUSINESS JOURNAL, 8/20 issue).

The Jets also recently reached a deal with Def Jam Recordings, another brand decidedly non-endemic to football.
