UCF To Host Alliance Of American Football Team

UCF will “play host” to a team in the new Alliance of American Football, but the university “isn’t releasing the details of the arrangement, including the rent the league will pay for use of Spectrum Stadium.” The university’s BOT “unanimously approved the rental agreement” today after AD Danny White “touted the money that could be made from the deal.” The team, which will be coached by former Univ. of Florida coach Steve Spurrier, will “play at least five games each season at the stadium on UCF’s campus for three years.” White told the BOT that the league will “take on all game-day expenses” (ORLANDOSENTINEL.com, 6/20).
