NHL Kings Partner With BluEco On New Arena Technology

AEG and the NHL Kings have formed a joint venture with BluEco Technology Group to launch a new Liquid Crystalline Turbex technology for arenas and public facilities. The LCT system produces pure water while cleaning indoor air and reducing energy costs for facility operators and owners (Kings). AEG President & CEO Dan Beckerman said the system "lowers the temperature and it dehumidifies the air and creates about 500,000 gallons of water each year." NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman: "We're the first sports league that has actually done two league-wide sustainability reports. We're very mindful of our environmental footprint and things that we can do at the club level, and even in communities at local rinks" (“Squawk Box,” CNBC, 5/16).
