Orioles Announce Free Ticket Promotion For Younger Fans

The Orioles today formally announced a new "Kids Cheer Free" program inviting parents to bring kids under the age of nine to home games at Camden Yards for free. Every adult who purchases a regularly priced individual game ticket in the upper deck can bring up to two children through the gates for free. Tickets for the March 31-April 29 games can be reserved online now, with tickets to remaining games to be made available on a month-by-month basis as the season progresses (Orioles).

The "lone initial blacked-out date" for the promotion is Opening Day on March 29. The offer marks "one of the most aggressive marketing and sales efforts of any type in the industry to attract younger fans" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 3/12 issue).
