USTA Looks To Improve Fed Cup Venue After Court Is Disparaged

Officials are "making adjustments to the tennis court" in Asheville, N.C., ahead of this weekend's Netherlands-U.S. Fed Cup competition after Netherlands captain Paul Haarhuis on Wednesday "called it 'one of the worst' he's seen." USTA Corporate Communications Dir Brendan McIntyre said that he "expects it will be corrected ahead of the first Fed Cup match on Saturday" (Asheville CITIZEN-TIMES, 2/9).

Tennis Channel's weekend Fed Cup coverage will include "Serena Williams' return to the court." The channel will "cover live two singles matches" on Saturday, as well as "two singles matches and a doubles match on Sunday" (MULTICHANNEL.com, 2/8).
