Heavy Dose Of Earnhardt Among Lionel's Top-Selling NASCAR Diecasts

NASCAR licensee Lionel Racing today released its list of top 10 diecast sellers for '17, showing Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s paint scheme in his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series finale became the best seller in Lionel Racing's history. Earnhardt’s car, which was sponsored by Axalta but was fashioned to look like his old No. 8 Budweiser ride, passed Earnhardt’s '14 Daytona 500 winning car as the all-time top seller. Six of the 10 top selling diecasts of this year were No. 88 Earnhardt paint schemes. Other top sellers included Ryan Blaney’s paint scheme from his win at Pocono Raceway. Chase Elliott had two paint schemes in the the top 10.
