Esports Notes: OpTic Gaming Signs Broadcasting Deal With Twitch
OpTic Gaming, one of the most prominent team brands in esports, has struck a multiyear, exclusive broadcasting deal with Twitch, putting all practice streaming and promotional video on the Amazon-owned platform (Ben Fischer, Staff Writer).
Mtn Dew added three esports franchises to its platform including Team Dignitas, Splyce and Team SK Gaming. Activation for the partnerships will be done in part through Mtn Dew's channel on Twitch (Mtn Dew).
Fantasy sports company HypSports has added fantasy games for the "League of Legends" Championship Series that began last week. However, instead of drafting teams in a fashion traditional to fantasy sports, players collect esports athletes throughout the season to create lineups and compete against other fans (HypSports).
