ESPN's "OTL" Rolls Out New Studio Set, Graphics Packages

This afternoon’s edition of ESPN’s “OTL” featured a new studio look, with host Bob Ley walking onto the Studio Z set while introducing the show’s topics. Ley: “We are live today from Studio Z, our new ‘Outside The Lines’ headquarters. We’re proud to show it to you today.” The on-screen graphics for each report were new, with the main stories being Derek Jeter having his No. 2 retired by the Yankees, protecting players in MLB, a live conversation with Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban and a final take on the death of former MLB umpire Steve Palermo.

ESPN Exec Producer Andy Tennant said, "The best studios don’t just let you do your show. They don’t merely enhance your show. They are, instead, fundamental to the DNA of your show. To have Studio Z built to our exact specs, bringing to life the enormous creative power of our studio and graphics design team, representing the wishes of our producers and hosts, researchers and directors, is a tremendous advantage for us. The studio and sets have been fashioned to be the home of storytelling on ESPN for a long time."
