Diamond Resorts Golf Event To Include LPGA, Senior Golfers

Organizers of the Diamond Resorts Invitational golf tourney announced that LPGA stars Lexi Thompson and Brittany Lincicome will compete in the event that combines PGA Tour Champions players with various celebs. This will be the first time that PGA Tour Champions and LPGA players are included. The players from Jan. 13-15  will compete for $750,000 over the 54-hole tournament, while the celebs compete for $500,000 in prize money. The tournament will be played at the Tranquilo Golf Club in Orlando and will be televised live on Golf Channel.
 
Set to join Lincicome and Thompson are PGA Tour Champions players John Daly, John Cook, Lee Janzen, Mark Calcavecchia, Scott Hoch and Jeff Sluman, with celeb commitments to include Marcus Allen, Roger Clemens, Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux, Jeremy Roenick and John Smoltz, according to tournament organizers.
