Roddick To Host Periscope Streams For JPMorgan Chase, Grey Goose

JPMorgan Chase and Grey Goose will each sponsor Periscope live streams in which Andy Roddick provides live analysis and insight about ongoing U.S. Open matches, mainly from his home in Austin. Chase said that it will sponsor six live broadcasts, beginning with tonight’s match between Chase endorser Serena Williams and Vania King, and also including the women’s final, for which Chase is the presenting sponsor. Grey Goose could not be reached to disclose how many streams it will sponsor. Each stream will contain a 6-second preroll video to identify the sponsor associated with that particular broadcast. Roddick will share each of the streams from his personal Twitter account.

Twitter in a blog post touted the campaign as a new way to monetize content on the platform. Chase Head of Sports & Entertainment Marketing Frank Nakano said that Roddick’s Periscope content is one part of a larger Twitter campaign surrounding the Open, which includes promoted tweets and video preroll. Roddick will also be assisting with Chase’s on-site hospitality efforts during the final weekend of the tournament. He previously appeared in a commercial for the brand alongside John McEnroe in ’13.
