Univision Launching ESPYs-Style Awards Show In Miami

Univision is launching an ESPYs-style sports awards show for U.S. Hispanics called Premios Univision Deportes (Univision Sports Awards). The two-hour event will take place Dec. 18 at 9:00pm ET in Miami. The event will be aired on UniMás and simulcast on Univision Deportes. The Univision Deportes telecast will feature a one-hour red carpet pre-show. The event will feature musical performances from Latino artists. Well-known sports celebrities and Univision talent will hand out 25 awards given to Hispanic sports stars for both on- and off-field exploits. Awards will include a Lifetime Achievement Award, a Humanitarian Award and a Community Activist Award.
